These are two of 20 publications that were sold by subscription and were meant to be bound when the full set was received.There is a paper cover (both are split at spine) and contain a group of pages in 4-page signatures.

Page size is about 13.5 x 10.5 inches.

There are also two sections of Founders and Builders of Masonry in California. These are not dated. I suspect that one of each was included with each of the above parts. One contains pages 45-52 and the other pages 53-69. Page 52 is damaged with a 5-inch closed tear and large piece missing at top corner.

The two portraits (Edward Coleman and Charles Crocker) on card stock are heavily foxed.
