Part of the Looking series, The Rooster 4 began like all the rest except stopped short and murmured, “I’m done.” So born and matured with a bit more of a minimalist bent, it had to go in the direction of a good martini - with such few ingredients, I needed to make each one fit with the flow and space just so.

It was all just there, plain, out in the open for all to see - what is she looking at? What’s the difference between a glance and a glare?

How many things have we looked at, but not really seen?

(And the woodgrain - oh that woodgrain).

Lots of art has an agenda, a planned place it’s taking you.
If you wanted to be taken somewhere you've already been, why look at art?
Art is about discovery, about feeling the moment where the artist leapt, and leaping with them.

Come along for the journey.
