”Berry Pomeroy Castle, a Tudor mansion within the walls of an earlier castle, is near the village of Berry Pomeroy, in South Devon, England. It was built in the late 15th century by the Pomeroy family which had held the land since the 11th century. By 1547 the family was in financial difficulties and sold the lands to Edward Seymour, 1st Duke of Somerset. Apart from a short period of forfeit to the Crown after Edward's execution, the castle has remained in the Seymour family ever since, although it was abandoned in the late 17th century when the fourth baronet moved to Wiltshire.
After lying in ruins for a hundred years, in the 19th century the castle became celebrated as an example of the "picturesque", and it became a popular tourist attraction, a status which it retains today—aided by its reputation of being haunted.”

BERRY POMEROY CASTLE - 1934 Model A Ford Lledo Stevelyn View Van - Jack Odell, one of the founders of the famous Matchbox brand, founded his own company called Lledo in 1982. The first Lledo models in the main range called "Days Gone" were similar to the Matchbox "Models of Yesteryear" range, but slightly smaller. Vans were released as promotional models in countless different liveries, and Lledo produced the "View Van" series of souvenir models with pictures of British landmarks on their bodies for the Stevelyn company. In the 1990s several land speed record cars in 1/80th to 1/100th scale, as well as some cars and vans in exact 1/43rd scale in the "Days Gone" range, were released, and in 1996 Lledo started production of the "Vanguards" range: 1/43rd scale models of British cars from the 1950s to the 1970s and 1/64th scale truck models. Originally all models were made in England, but in the late 1990s production moved to China. In 1999 Lledo was taken over by Corgi, but the production of the Lledo ranges was continued by the new owner, until the Lledo name was dropped in 2005..
