Anne Marie Trechslin studied painting in Paris and at the Bern School of Applied Arts, then in Italy and England. She gained international recognition with her bird and flower watercolors. Her watercolors are true-to-life reproductions of plants and also harmonious and figurative representations. She became particularly known for illustrating numerous art and specialist books on the subject of flowers, as an expert in the illustration of roses and camellias. She has had solo exhibitions of her work in Basel, Bern, Paris, Rome, Florence, Perugia and Malta.
