Rose 'Hadley'

Original offset lithograph from 1965 (no reprint - no copy)

Beautiful offset lithograph based on the original watercolor by Anne Marie Trechslin.

The color print comes from a book that is now out of print and is numbered on the back and contains information about the rose breeder and the year of breeding.

Sheet size: 16.5 x 23 cm.

Condition: slight adhesive residue on the back because the board was mounted, very good on the front - see scan.

Anne Marie Trechslin studied painting in Paris and at the Bern School of Applied Arts, then in Italy and England. She gained international recognition with her bird and flower watercolors. Her watercolors are true-to-life reproductions of plants and also harmonious and figurative representations. She became particularly known for illustrating numerous art and specialist books on the subject of flowers, as an expert in the illustration of roses and camellias. She has had solo exhibitions of her work in Basel, Bern, Paris, Rome, Florence, Perugia and Malta.
