Anne Marie Trechslin studied painting in Paris and at the Kunstgewerbeschule in Bern, then in Italy and England. She gained international recognition with her watercolors of birds and flowers. Her watercolors are true-to-nature reproductions of plants as well as harmonious and figurative representations. She became particularly well-known through the illustration of numerous art and specialist books on the subject of flowers, as an expert in depicting roses and camellias. She has had solo exhibitions of her work in Basel, Bern, Paris, Rome, Florence, Perugia and Malta.
