Variety Information
In 2019 the Royal Canadian Mint released this twoonie to commemorate the 75th anniversary of the heroic efforts of 14,000 Canadians that landed in occupied France on June 6th, 1944. The main image represents the landing craft where the men charged the beaches, while many surrounding images highlight the air and naval forces that supported their efforts. This remembrance twoonie is a must have for collectors.
Obverse: Dora de Pédery-Hunt's "diadem" effigy of Queen Elizabeth II at 64 years old.
