Old Majolica Pottery Art Nouveau Motif Tobacco Jar / Humidor. The glossy cream ground jar is decorated with a pink and yellow Water Lily Flower and green leaves. The bottom part of the jar has a black wavy water design.The cover is decorated with a tobacco pipe finial that is tied with a pink bow. Green leaf stems decorate the sides of the pipe. The interior is white. The base is marked, "Austria" with impressed number marks.
SIZE: 5 3/8 inches high x 4 3/4 inches wide.
CONDITION: The jar rim has a couple rough spots with chips (one chip is on the inner part of the rim with a section of pottery loss --mostly seen on the bottom part of the rim) -- the base rim has a tiny indented spot with no color (as made) -- the foot rim has no color or glaze -- the cover is in good condition with no chips. The jar is in very nice, clean condition (the flaws are not visible).
