Here is the story on this.  I had a  refurbished 350hp 1968 Chevelle L34 engine. I am a full engine machine shop with Superflow dyno. More than 25 years experienced professional engine builder. Buy with confidence! This motor was upgraded to .030 over forged pistons and a #6223 forged crankshaft, closer to L78 than L34 for 1968 year.  So, this engine will come with upgraded forged pump gas pistons, .030 over and the forged GM 6223 crankshaft!

OPTIONAL:  Optional engine block stamping service available to restore your car back to the correct suffix code and can also do matching VIN stamp for an additional charge. This would require additional fees for correct casting number and dated block preceding your cars build date! Furthermore, you must have documentation such as original POP plate, and/or original dealer paperwork, or other documentation to prove your cars original factory horsepower to qualify for vin stamping! I DO NOT and WILL NOT aid in creating a bogus car that could be passed off as a numbers matching car! We follow NCRS guidelines of restoration service vs counterfeiting. So, the goal would be to restore car back to how it really was born from GM, not to change options! If your original paperwork has been lost I may be able to help you retrieve records of your car depending on the year and plant it was assembled. If we cannot validate your factory options due to lack of credible records, we can do the suffix stamping but without VIN stamping! Inquire for details!

I had customer who wanted to buy just the engine block for his 1968 Chevelle. So, I am left with complete lots of parts, less the block. I will refurbish another block  and install all the parts over to it. I also have a set of fully rebuilt #781 large over heads 70's vintage that could be substituted capable of well over 500hp that are 2.190/1.800 valve with light port and polish that will be installed. These large oval 781 heads tend to do better for street car in power than the rect port, especially with this sort of .604 lift hyd roller cam and lifter set-up.Camshaft is Erson part #120230 hyd roller with tie bar hyd roller lifters  226/234 at .050  .604/.604 lift. Roller rockers are Harland Sharp. I also can do a correct L34 or L78 style flat tappet camshaft if you do not want the roller, same price!

IMPORTANT: Terms: Ebay photos show actual engine before block was sold along with another example photo for illustrative purposes of what engine would look like when parts substituted to another block. However, photos are to be considered for illustrative purposes only.    4-6 weeks estimated wait time to get this around for someone. Block casting number and casting date to be substituted is of the sellers choice but will be a Mark IV block for this 4.280 .030 piston in standard deck height 9.800. If you desire a particular casting number and date code I may be able to accommodate for an additional charge! The buy it now price is for the motor with the #781 heads!  You may upgrade to 4 bolt main L78 engine block for an additional charge, or other changes.
