This elegant Regency styled, fully hallmarked, antique, vintage, and very heavy solid sterling silver cruet set stands on beautifully curved cabriole legs. This superb cruet set consists of heavy thick gauge solid silver weighing approximately 175 g. on my kitchen scales (see photo).

The salt and mustard pot with original matching blue glass liners have hallmarks for Birmingham, 1936, and makers mark SLd. The pepperette, or pepper pot has hallmarks for makers Mappin & Webb, Birmingham, 1902. All three pieces are etched with the initial H and they also have English hallmarks.

The condition is good with some surface marks but also has the following through general wear and tear: the pepperette has a tiny ding above one leg which is shown in the last photo. It also has one leg very slightly raised. These are barely noticeable. The pepperette has a few dings to the lid's inside lip which is shown on the second to last photo. This is not visible when the lid is closed. The pepperette lid also fits very securely onto the main body.

This beautiful silver cruet has been in my glass cabinet for years. I am downsizing my various possessions which I haven’t used for a long time because I just have too many things and not enough space. They would benefit from a polish. I hope that someone else will get the same enjoyment out of them as I have. I am not an expert, I am an honest seller, and I endeavour to point out any issues. Please examine all photos as they form part of the description. I try to be the kind of seller that I would like to deal with on eBay. Please contact me if you have any issues, I will do my level best to resolve them.

Please note:

1) - This outstanding solid sterling silver cruet comes from a smoke free home. I do have two cats, but I don't let them to season their food with salt and pepper or add mustard to their Felix cat food.   =D

2) - I don’t drive so I only post once a week. If your need is urgent, please let me know so that I can help. Any questions, just ask. Thanks very much for looking!
