DESCRIPTION

A new edition of this uncommon work in the publisher's original cloth binding, with the original price-clipped dust wrapper.

Illustrated with eight colour plates and four black and white plates. Collated, complete.

Paul Henry (1876-1958) was an Irish artist, notable for his Post-impressionist style landscape paintings of the West of Ireland. In this work, Henry describes his experiences of Connemara, Mayo and Achill Island, as well as the friends he made in Paris and London. Sean O'Faolain writes an admiring foreword.


CONDITION

In publisher's original cloth binding, with original price-clipped dust wrapper. Externally, cloth is in excellent condition, with bright gilt lettering to the spine. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright and clean. Dust wrapper remains bright and smart, with just a little creasing to the upper extremities.
