Description: Partly printed document, completed in manuscript. Single sheet, folded to 30 x 21 cm. [4] pp. Vignette of a crown and shield in lower left corner of first page. Signed in ink by Pas. Enrile, and Marco Martinez. Permission was granted for the Frigate Americana to set sail for the port of Valparaiso, with the officers and crew listed in manuscript on page 3. A very good copy.

Pascual Enrile y Alcedo was Spanish Governor-General of the Philippines from 1830-1835. In September 1834, the Spanish government abolished the Royal Company of the Philippines and opened up the port of Manila to free international trade.
