Brand new flush metal toe taps made in France. The flush metal toe taps will exceedingly extend the life of your leather soles and be silent when in use if installed correctly. These are not your average toe taps found on eBay which are simply nailed on top of the existing sole and can be noisy when walking.
These metal toe taps are meant to be professionally installed. The cobbler or shoemaker should install these flush with the leather soles as the sample photos show. This is done by skiving down the sole so this metal toe tap can sit sunken in and flush with the bottom of the sole as well as with the sole edge.

Small size: 47mm wide by 16mm tall, 1.65mm thick
Medium size: 52mm wide by 17mm tall, 1.65mm thick
Large size: 57mm wide by 18mm tall, 1.65mm thick
XL size: 63mm wide by 19mm tall, 1.65mm thick
XXL size: 67mm wide by 20mm tall, 1.65mm thick

Sold in pairs!! Please be sure to check the size that would work for your shoe as sole sizing varies widely. Also, note that these toe taps are slightly curved (to match most shoe toe shapes), they are NOT completely flat and not recommended for use as heel taps.
Keep in mind filing down of the toe tap may be required to get desired perfect fit; especially for square toes, which is standard practice. See photo for detailed dimensions to confirm if it will work for your shoe before purchasing. Please see my other listings if you want "Triumph" version.
The taps include the required screws (update - after discussions with my trusted cobblers, I've decided to include smaller phillips brass screws for easier installation/removal/replacement) for installation on most standard thickness leather soles made using either goodyear welted, handwelted or blake-rapid methods. These may or may not work for blake-stitched shoes, you may have to source your own shorter screws to make it work with the thinner soles/insoles.
