From a collection of old buttons – uniform, military, livery. I am by no means an expert – I have made identification though Googling; if I have made a mistake please just let me know and I will change the listing. All sizes (diameters) are approximate as I do not have a way of measuring them more accurately than with a ruler. Most are reasonable condition considering age; they are as I found them in a box, uncleaned condition. Happy to combine.
PRE 1901 THE KINGS SCHOOL CADETS BRASS BUTTON STOKES & SONS #2
The King’s School in Parramatta is an Anglican school opened in 1832. The school uniform is a military uniform, with silver buttons manufactured by Stokes. Its Cadet Corps was raised in 1868 and claims to be the oldest in Australia. This has Queen Victoria’s Crown and would date pre 1901. Condition is a bit squashed. Approx 18mm diameter, back loop.
My Items
The items I sell are vintage; they are second hand, old, sometimes very old. I try to describe and photograph my items
honestly and to the best of my ability; however if pristine condition is very important to you, I feel you should be buying from a regular shop, where you can inspect the items personally. Please note that all my items are sold "as is", with no warranty implied, and that the photos form part of the description, which should be read carefully. IF YOU HAVE A PROBLEM PLEASE CONTACT ME FIRST.
