One of those classic 1940s military dial type tank watches nearly every discerning vintage collector adds to their collection. Good everyday watch to wear with jeans; still elegant enough to wear with a suit. Great value for the money in the vintage watch world. Plus it represents an import horological phase, when rectangular watches were being produced with special waterproof cases.

This is a Swiss Made all Stainless Steel 1940s watch, one of the early waterproof tank watches by Rensie with its famous Fluid Drive movement protected with Incabloc shock resistance. Has a hand-wound movement and waterproof case design with two screws in the back. Has its original bevel-edge glass crystal. Case measures 23mm across (not counting the crown) and 35mm from lug top to bottom.

The stepped case edges are sharp and the watch has not been polished. The dial shows some aging, just enough to hint at it's vintage pedigree and not look like a cheap repro. Nice dark brown lume in the hands and on the matching arbaic numbers on the dial. All of these elements add up to a great 1940s watch to wear daily at a low price.
