Available again are these popular Climate Control troubleshooting manuals, with over 2,500 copies sold since their inception.

Unlike the factory shop manual each manual is written in an easy to understand format and addresses real world problems the factory manual doesn't even mention. No special tools are needed like the factory manual uses. Just a simple voltmeter and basic vacuum gauge along with basic hand tools are all you need to diagnose this complex system.

This is the manual for the 1977-80 Deville and Fleetwood models only. The manual first discusses how the system works, then how to test each part, and finally how to troubleshoot the system.

The 1976 manual also covers 1977-78 Eldorado if you need a manual for that model.

The manual does not cover basic heating and air conditioning parts like heater core, compressor, condenser, etc., as those are the same as other GM vehicles of these years. What is covered are the controls, vacuum actuators, sensors, electronic parts, switches specific to the climate control system.

If you own one of these classic Cadillacs  (Deville & Fleetwood only) this is an investment since many technicians today don't understand these older systems. The manual can help you and your trusted technician.
