Das Pfennig-Magazin, herausgegeben in Gemeinschaft mit der Gesellschaft zur Verbreitung gemeinnütziger Kenntnisse, war die erste wöchentlich erscheinende deutsche Zeitschrift, die für die Vermittlung von populärwissenschaftlichen Erkenntnisse auf die Verbindung von Text und Bild setzte. Das Pfennig-Magazin erschien zum ersten Mal im Mai 1833.

  • Description: Verso with text. The Pfennig-Magazin, published in association with the Gesellschaft zur Verbreitung gemeinnütziger Kenntnisse (Society for the Dissemination of Charitable Knowledge), was the first weekly German magazine to rely on the combination of text and image for the communication of popular scientific knowledge. The Pfennig-Magazin appeared for the first time in May 1833.

  • Condition: Good condition. The paper is discoloured due to its age. The sheet is foxed on all sides. The paper is slightly creased in places. The image makes a very good impression.
