Often when you go to change a silencer on a VW type 1 engine its found that the end of the heat exchangers are thin and rusty.
Its a real shame to render a otherwise good heat exchanger to the skip (especially if its a genuine one!) because the ends are rusty
With this repair pipe you can chop off the rusty end and fit this repair stub into the pipe end giving you new metal to attach the silencer to
Top tip: Use some exhaust assembly paste when fitting to be sure to seal the joint
