DESCRIPTION: Scans show it all....nice early tiny antique framed, autographed picture of a floral garden. VERY COLORFUL. Judging from the age and style of the frame and the details of the picture it appears to have been done c. 1915 - 1920.

I am not an art expert, so not sure if this is an original photograph/watercolor/painting or a print of one. I am sure, however, that his signature at the bottom is authentic.

He was primarily a photographer, and he was known for pastoral scenes such as this, with mountains, landscapes, flowers, and gardens such as this. He employed colorists painted the photographs he took, which is probably the way this one was done. His photos emphasized the scenic beauty of places such as New England, the UK, and Ireland, which again is reflected in this picture.

Very cute, tiny framed picture. Measures 5 1/2" x 4 1/4" with frame. Has wire on the back so was meant to be hung on the wall.

Would be a particularly nice display or period decorating item.
