Description

• For mash from potatoes or crushed cereals - alpha-amylase is an enzyme that liquified starch, which will be used to prepare mash from crushed cereals (e.g.: rye, wheat, corn, rice) and from potatoes.

• High efficiency - a 10 ml package is enough for 50 kg of sl, with a dosage of 1 ml per 5 kg of raw material.

• Simple use - for water with a temperature of 85-950C, add the selected raw material in the proportion: 1 kg of raw material per 3-4 L of water. Mix thoroughly and then add alpha-amylase in the amount of 1 ml for every 5 kg of cereals or potatoes.

• It works perfectly with TurboWhiskey or Turbo Potato yeast - thanks to the use of alpha-amylase with these distillery yeasts, nutrient medium and glucoamylase, you will be guaranteed to receive delicious and aromatic drinks!

• Not for direct consumption - alpha-amylase is used to prepare the mash and is not suitable for direct consumption!

Alfa-amylase - an enzyme that liquified starch, for mash from crushed cereals (e.g. rye, wheat, corn, rice) and potatoes. Effectively works at 70 - 105°C and pH 4.5,-7,5. However, you can get the best conditions for starch decomposition at a temperature of 85-95°C and pH 5-5.5.

How to use:

In a dish, heat the water to temp. 85-950C, add raw material in proportion: 1 kg per 3-4 L of water. Mix thoroughly. Add alpha-amylase in the amount of 1 ml per 5 kg of raw material. Before adding, dissolve the measured portion of the enzyme in a small amount of water for better distribution in the mash. Maintain the temperature of the mixture at about 950C for 1 h, stirring constantly. After this time, leave the th to cool down until it reaches temp. 300C. Add a sachet of distillery yeast, nutrient and glucoamylase (e.g. TurboWhiskey BROWIN 403160 or Turbo Potato 403400) and ferment according to the instructions on the package about 3-7 days.
