  • Beschreibung: Steinzeug, gedreht, gestaucht und glasiert. Walter Heufelder wurde am 4. Januar 1926 in Höhr-Grenzhausen geboren. Nach einer Lehre bei der Keramikmanufaktur "Marzi & Remy" besuchte Heufelder 1942 bis 1943 die Fachschule in Höhr-Grenzhausen. Danach ging er zum Studium nach Köln und Krefeld. 1951 legte er die Meisterprüfung ab. 1954 bis 1967 lehrte Heufelder am Institut für Werkpädagogik der Stadt Köln, 1967 bis 1975 an der Fachhochschule Köln, Fachbereich Kunst und Design, Bildhauerei und Keramik. 1975 bis 1988 leitete er die Staatliche Berufs-, Berufsfach- und Fachschule für Keramik in Landshut. Er erhielt zahlreiche Auszeichnungen und Preise und ist Träger des Bundesverdienstkreuzes. Darüber hinaus wurde er 1977 in die renommierte Genfer "Academie Internationale de la Céramique" aufgenommen. Seit der Beendigung seiner Lehrtätigkeit im Jahr 1988 ist Heufelder als freischaffender Künstler tätig.

  • Description: Stoneware, twisted, upset and glazed. Walter Heufelder was born in Höhr-Grenzhausen on 4 January 1926. After an apprenticeship at the ceramics manufacturer "Marzi & Remy", Heufelder attended the technical school in Höhr-Grenzhausen from 1942 to 1943. He then went to study in Cologne and Krefeld. In 1951 he passed the master craftsman's examination. From 1954 to 1967 Heufelder taught at the Institute for Work Education of the City of Cologne, from 1967 to 1975 at the Cologne University of Applied Sciences, Department of Art and Design, Sculpture and Ceramics. From 1975 to 1988 he was head of the State Vocational, Professional and Technical School for Ceramics in Landshut. He received numerous awards and prizes and is a recipient of the Order of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany. In addition, he was admitted to the renowned Geneva "Academie Internationale de la Céramique" in 1977. Since the end of his teaching career in 1988, Heufelder has been working as a freelance artist.
