VERY NICE 7" ANTIQUE CARVED HANDMADE HUNTING POWDER HORN

DESCRIPTION: Particularly nice & unusual POWDER HORN, used to hold gun powder by individual riflemen for use with their flintlock muskets. Measures 7" long. This is the type typically used by country farmers with their flintlock muskets when they were hunting. Type used early in the 19th century, c.1800 - 1820.

Will look great in a collection or hanging with a musket over a fireplace.

Horn has nice color.  Plug end also has nice tiny handmade iron nails to hold in the wooden butt plug.  HAS 20 NAILS, many more than typical. Gives it a great, unusual look.

Nice condition overall.
