When wound up the spring held tension and the drive wheel turned. I can not guaranty the mechanical operation of such an old motor.
The Passenger Cars are about 9.25" Long and the engine about 10" Long. Passenger Car Roofs in Grey look to have been redone, while the tin litho finish on the bodies looks great. Few small dings noted on car roofs.
Condition-This is a rare set considering the age and gauge, while in such clean looking shape. The Key is also probably rare, as unattached small parts usually get lost quicker. I am guessing it is original because of the large square shaped end to fit the train motor. This set came from the bi-annual York, PA TCA meet.
Overall, this Rare Bub 1 GA Set looks in excellent shape with no damage, except as noted, and the Tin-Litho finish looks rather clean for it's age. Per the TCA website-Bub started making floor trains that ran by clockwork in 1903 and used tracks in 1905. Electric motors were not used until 1914.
Shipping-will ship with care, in a sturdy box with foam padding, via cheapest way usps priority mail. Ship weight boxed is about 6 lbs.
