Famous Crimes #8 from 1949 from Fox Features Syndicate and Victor Fox, a Pre-code Crime comic with a splendidly red and rough torture cover from the golden age of crime.  This is a scarce issue that hardly ever shows up, only two in the census.

Ungraded, but a fine specimen indeed.  Nice reds on the front.  Some pink bleed on the whites, but I've seen that on every single copy of the issue I've laid eyes on including the Promise Copy.  Square with a couple a small chips at the right side as well as a couple of very small tears and creases at right side.  Short crease upper right.  Small scuff above the F.  Small tear at bottom left.  Overall, the cover presents splendidly.  Complete spine with about a quarter inch bump split at both top and bottom and some staple pull at the staples which are in great shape.  Small amount of blue ballpoint pen at indicia.  Square and supple interior pages on a grey-ish stock of paper.  No tears and staples tight at centerfold.  There is one small circular hole which I've pictured.  The top of the last page is clipped right at the ink line, the largest defect with the issue.  Clean interior and back cover with minor tears at edge.  A superb copy that you don't want to get away from your collection of one of the more coveted Fox titles.

I'm not an expert grader, so please look carefully at the many quality photos and determine the grade and condition for yourself. I'm always happy to answer any questions.
