I absolutely loved the idea of the Jolly Look Instax Mini instant camera, but then I got one. Then another, then a third. Though the optics, the light tightness, and the shutter system were primitive and required some wrestling to get them to work, the biggest challenge(and annoyance) for me was the front standard mount and rigidity. The bellows would always pull the focus bed out of square, even with the help of their later solution-the straws at different lengths to prop it like you are trying to catch a rodent with a box and a stick with string).  I made this simple Lo-Fi Joy Luck bracket as a way to make the Jolly Look more tolerable. It has a base that includes a normal tripod socket(not just a magnet) that squares the front deck, and a spring loaded brace that holds the top of the front standard square.
The Jolly Look is absolutely a Jolly Look, as it looks great. With the help of the Lo-Fi Joy Luck adapter, hopefully it will be a fully functioning camera!
Note: this bracket is intended to be used with the first generation of Jolly Look- the cardboard camera that started the Jolly Look line. Since I do not have the later generations, I cannot vouch for their fit.
Note number 2: the photo that shows two Jolly Look cameras without braces is for illustration of the key problem with the cameras as is.
What is included: the Lo-Fi Joy Luck adapter/brace
What is not included: the Jolly Look camera, film, etc.
A post script: I am not bashing the Jolly Look, and I wish the best for them going forward. This brace is an attempt to save some of their early legacy of cameras from the dump prematurely.
