Czech c 1875 Childs or Dolls Decanter & 4 Glasses Ruby Red Etched to Clear Bohemian possibly Egermann

Reference:  Doris Lechler, ‘Children’s Glass Dishes, China, and Furniture,’ pp 52-54.

Possibly Egermann or Egermann Style, here is a scarce Ruby Red Etched to Clear Bohemian or Czech hand-blown child’s or doll’s Decanter and 4 Stemmed Goblets Set in a grapes, leaves, and vines pattern.  The neck of the Decanter has 2 rings, and the stopper is a fancy, faceted, cut-glass mushroom shape.  There are chips to the inner, bottom portion of the stopper that do not show when in place, and a small fleabite to one of the facets, and two fleabites to the underside that are very difficult to see.  There are numbers on the stopper inner clear portion, but the significance is unknown.  There are no other markings on the set.  The miniature glasses are in a goblet shape and have a ring around the stem.  This set includes:

(1)   Decanter with Stopper:  1.5” W Top to body of 2.25” W tapering to 1.75” W at Bottom x 6” H

(4)   Stemmed Glasses:  1.125” Diameter top of Bowl x 1.375” Diameter Foot x 2.75” H

Please ignore the white glare reflections in the photos.  This scarce child’s or doll’s miniature Decanter Set with 4 Goblets is in excellent condition with the exceptions noted above.  There is the occasional loss of the ruby red color that appears to be done in the making.  Presented as is and as found.
