An original German map of an area of the French and Swiss border towards the Southern end of the Western Front.

Early in the War, ordinary state produced survey maps such as this one were used by the military for general navigation until the frontline became bogged down and other more specialist types of maps became necessary. This is an 1893 edition and almost identical in every way to the 'Type 1889' maps often used by the French at the start of the War.

Condition is excellent.

PLEASE NOTE - Following BREXIT, some items exported from the UK to EU countries may now incur import tariffs on arrival. This depends on the overall value of the item (or items) contained within the package. UK sellers are now required to display these details in the form of a Customs Declaration attached to the outside of the package. Such matters are beyond my control as the process is administered by the Customs Department of the destination country. With this in mind, please can all buyers from EU countries make themselves aware of how these changes may affect them when purchasing items from the UK. Thank you in advance for your patience and understanding.
