A crisp, clean copy, near fine, in the publisher's cream cloth, with fading to the spine lettering and a tiny ding to the bottom of the rear board, else very nice. In a near fine dust jacket with only very mild edgewear. This copy SIGNED and warmly INSCRIBED by Coretta Scott King on the front free endpaper: "To Emma Bell, With warmest appreciation for your support and efforts to make the dream real. Coretta Scott King. Oct. 12, 1980." A notable photograph taken at the funeral for the four girls murdered in the Birmingham church bombing depicts some SNCC workers, one of whom is identified as Emma Bell, but we are unsure if this is the same person. In any event, a rather sharp copy with a warm inscription. Near fine / near fine.
