Unbekannt (18. Jahrhundert), Freundschaftskarte. Postament. Vorne mit Versen auf Stoff und einem Engel mit Lyra oben thronend, um 1790, Glückwunschbillet

• Datierung: um 1790


• Beschreibung: Teile des Postaments tragen eine blassrote Kolorierung. Das Gedicht auf der Inschrifttafel des Sockels wird durch den Seidenstoff betont. Oberhalb mit Widmung und dem Datum "1488". Die Karte stammt aus einer Sammlung Glückwunschkarten der Biedermeier Zeit. Diese Freundschafts- und Glückwunschkarten stellen liebenswerte, aber auch kulturgeschichtlich besonders interessante Zeugnisse jener Zeit dar. Ende des 18. Jahrhunderts wurde es insbesondere in Wien zu einer Sitte, sich zum neuen Jahr Höflichkeitsbesuche abzustatten und Visit- und Glückwunschkarten zu überbringen. Kupferstich auf Papier mit Seidenstoff.

• Zustand: Guter Zustand. Das Blatt hat sich altersgemäß verfärbt und ist stellenweise fleckig. Die Ecken sind minimal bestoßen. Vereinzelt mit Knitterfalten.

Unknown (18th century), Friendship card Pedestal Front with verses on fabric and an angel with lyre enthroned above, c. 1790, Congratulations billet

• Date: c. 1790


• Description: Parts of the pedestal bear a pale red colouring. The poem on the inscription panel of the pedestal is accentuated by the silk fabric. Above with dedication and the date "1488". The card comes from a collection of greeting cards of the Biedermeier period. These friendship and greeting cards represent endearing, but also culturally and historically particularly interesting testimonies of that time. At the end of the 18th century, it became a custom, especially in Vienna, to pay each other a courtesy call at the New Year and to send visiting and congratulatory cards. Copper engraving on paper with silk fabric.

• Condition: Good condition. The sheet has discoloured with age and is spotted in places. The corners are minimally bumped. Occasional creases.
