Traditional Nigerian female fertility totem cast in solid Copper.

This wonderful totem hangs from a necklace consisting of differently colored and shaped glass beads. There are also 10 wooden beads spaced among the glass beads.

This  hand-strung necklace  is tied to the clasp. There is a small tuft of string 2 beads down from the clasp. It's the tail of the knot strung under the bead and secured with a small drop of glue. When I first saw it, I thought the necklace was coming apart. It is not, it's is exactly the way the maker intended. Ready to wear and strong.

Made in the 1980s.

The necklace measures 25” inches long, including the oversized hook style clasp.

The  totem measures 3”-1/8” of an inch long, 7/8” of an inch wide and 1/8” of an inch thick and feels substantial.

This is a pre-owned item and has very light wear common on jewelery of this vintage. Please see the photos for the exact condition.
