First edition, first printing in 1963. Near fine in very good plus DJ. This parody of book jacket cover copyright 1963 by Jules Feiffer. The DJ itself is special, in very good condition for its age with a couple of small edge tears and normal edge wear. Hardback book in excellent condition with straight, tight spine and all clean, intact, tight pages. Green and yellow decorated boards. Unclipped jacket, although former bookstore put sticker on flap which has rubbed slightly on facing page. Top and bottom of spine slight wear. See photos.

Jules Ralph Feiffer (born Jan. 26, 1929) is an American cartoonist and author, who was considered the most widely read satirist in the country. He won the Pulitzer Prize in 1986 as the United States's leading editorial cartoonist. In 2004, he was inducted into the Comic Book Hall of Fame. He wrote the animated short Munro, which won an Academy Award for Best Animated Short Film in 1961. The Library of Congress has recognized his "remarkable legacy,” from 1946 to the present, as a cartoonist, playwright, screenwriter, adult and children's book author, illustrator and art instructor.
