Item for sale is a restored original 1918 WWI poster advertising an exhibit on enemy propaganda and warmongering.  The poster depicts a group of men trying to put out a bonfire.   Other originals of this poster are in the collections of the Hoover Institute and the UK Imperial War Museum. This particular specimen has been professionally restored and canvas backed for preservation purposes. Size: 23 3/4" x 31 5/8" (with white border); Original poster: 50cm (19.7") x 70cm (27.6")

Note: Poster has been professionally restored, repaired and canvas backed for preservation. Paint has been used to color in areas where the original poster may have lost material or color.  Original poster has been pieced back together from parts.  If you look closely at the pictures you can see where tears along the folds of the poster have been rejoined and colored to hide imperfections.  Please view all pictures carefully.
