Item for sale is Victorian-era, late 19th century, pig themed matchstick holder and striker. Called a "fairing" because these items were given out at fairs as prizes during the period. This adorable example features two tired looking pigs sitting in their sty. In overall excellent condition for age with no chips or cracks. Signs of wear to the striking surface where the matches were lit. Measures 6" x 4" x 2".
