Latex tube storage

Due to the natural nature of latex, the physical properties and performance levels of all latex products will change. Changes due to multiple factors or a combination of multiple factors. Improper storage conditions may also negatively affect other materials used to reinforce the latex tube. The following recommendations include a series of preventive measures to minimize the aging of storage objects.

 1. Storage time of latex tube

  A rotating planning system should be used to minimize the storage time of latex tubes. If long-term storage cannot be avoided and the following recommendations cannot be followed, the latex tube should be thoroughly inspected before use.

  2. Physical storage conditions

   The storage of latex tubes must avoid mechanical stress, including excessive stretching, compression or deformation, and avoid contact with sharp or pointed objects. The latex tube is best stored on a suitable shelf or on a dry floor. Coiled rubber tubes must be stored horizontally, and latex tubes must not be stacked. If accumulation cannot be avoided, the accumulation height should not permanently deform the latex tube below. As one of the regulations, please try to avoid wrapping the latex tube on the post or hook. 

 3. Temperature and humidity
 Recommended storage temperature: 10 degrees Celsius to 25 degrees Celsius. Note: Do not store the latex tube at a temperature higher than 40 degrees Celsius or lower than 0 degrees Celsius. Be careful when moving the latex tube below minus 15 degrees Celsius. Latex tubes must not be stored in the heat source accessories, and the relative humidity should not exceed 65%. 

 4. Heated 
The temperature limits stated in point 3 must be observed. If this is not possible, insulation materials should be used to protect the latex tube from heat sources. 

 5. Exposure
 The storage room used to store the latex tube should be kept dark, especially to avoid direct sunlight or strong artificial light on the latex tube. If any openings in the storage room are covered by windows or glass, they should be covered.

 6. Exposure to oxygen and ozone
 Latex tubes should be properly packaged or stored in airtight containers to avoid exposure to the air. Do not place any ozone-emitting equipment in the storage room. Ozone has a particularly strong effect on all latex products.
