VERY RARE WWII German Death Card For a FALLSCHIRMJAEGER (PARATROOPER) REGT. SOLDIER, KIA IN HOLLAND AS PART OF OPERATION MARKET GARDEN

DESCRIPTION: VERY RARE WWII German death card for a Fallschirmjaeger (PARATROOPER) member, KIA IN HOLLAND SHORTLY AFTER THE START OF OPERATION MARKET GARDEN.

Specifically: 

  "Hans Muhr, lance cpl. IN A FALLSCHIRMJAEGER REGT, holder of various awards, who was killed in action on Oct. 4, 1944, aged 20, during the campaign in HOLLAND." Photo in uniform with hat. 

THIS IS A GREAT CARD FOR A SOLDIER KIA ROUGHLY 2 WEEKS AFTER THE INITIAL ALLIED INVASION OF HOLLAND BEGAN, THE OPERATION MARKET GARDEN AT ARNHEM. The famous "Bridge Too Far" operation, involving the huge paratrooper drop by Allied forces. Therefore part of that campaign!!!

Original card over 80 years old, and a nice picture and story of an unusual young soldier who otherwise would be a forgotten statistic.
