An extensive volume on poultry, exploring the management, breeding, medical care, and characteristics of poultry.

'The Poultry Book' is impressively illustrated with vivid and colourful chromolithograph plates, which depict various breeds of poultry in striking detail. 

By Reverend W. Wingfield and G. W. Johnson.

Illustrations by Harrison Weir, who acted as judges on poultry shows, and also organised the first ever cat show in England, in 1871.


CONDITION

In a full morocco binding. Externally, smart, with light rubbing to the spine and extremities. A few light marks to the boards and spine. Minor bumping to the extremities. Light marks to the paste downs and endpapers. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright with some scattered spots, mostly to the plates.
