BUCK LEONARD SIGNED BASEBALL

Walter Fenner "Buck" Leonard was born in 1907 and played first base between 1934 and 1950 for the Homestead Grays (Negro League Baseball). Called the "Black Lou Gehrig", he declined a 1952 offer of an MLB contract. Nevertheless. Leonard was elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1972 and was ranked number 47 on the 100 Gretest Baseball Players list by The Sporting News.

This Rawlings National League Baseball was personally signed by Buck Leonard at the Collectors Showcase of America's "Negro Leagues Greats Reunion" held at the North Carolina State Fairgrounds in Raleigh, North Carolina on Sunday, May 19, 1996 (just one year before Leonard's death in 1997). The actual Collectors Showcase autograph ticket will be provided along with the actual photo of Buck Leonard signing the baseball and the Certificate of Authenticity.

The signature is in blue ballpoint ink, crisp with no smudges or fading. The baseball shows minimal aging.
