Converse Run Star Hike

These run a half UK size larger than other Converse

Released in 2019, the Run Star Hike was originally a collaborative effort between Converse and JW Anderson. Now Converse will offer the model as a part of its ongoing seasonal lineup, staying true to early iterations, the new Converse Run Star Hike retains the shoe’s high cut, elevated midsole, treaded gum outsole, pull tab at the back and star placement at the heel. The platform sole adds height to the leg. This three-part style is comfortable and chic for every day wear.

Podiatrists Recommend Converse Run Star Hike

They each meet three of the four criteria that shoes must possess to be comfortable, which are:

A thick, rigid, and non-flexible sole. This is actually the most important of the four criteria because a rigid sole that stops motion through painful or compromised joints means that you will have less inflammation, less pain, and joint damage.
A wide toe box, so that there is less pressure on the toes, which means it will stop or slow the progression of hammertoes, bunions, ingrown toenails, corns, and even toenail fungus.
Rearfoot control allows for more biomechanical control of the foot and ankle, which means that there will be less strain on your knees, hips, and lower back.
These Converse can accommodate a dress orthotic or a thin over-the-counter insert, which will provide more arch support.

A NOTE ON SIZING - please read the description carefully as there may often be specific advice on sizing for each item. Converse trainers are similar in size to Clarks, though slightly narrower, approximately a half size larger than most other brands of trainers such as Adidas, Asics, Reebok or Vans, and a full size larger than Salomon. Converse UK sizes may vary between styles, but the EU size is usually constant. Add an extra half size for wide feet,
