MPC2000 beat makers - check out The Ultimate MPC2000 SD card!

Now loaded with more retro sounds and built for ZuluSCSI!

If you are tired of slow and unreliable floppies or outdated ZIP disks, now is the time to upgrade to a modern ZuluSCSI hard drive emulator. Emulation devices for data storage are blazingly fast, even on the vintage MPC2000.

The SD card is pre-loaded with tons of vintage MPC2000 programs, the MPC factory library, and the OS, making boot-up near instant. Plus, ZuluSCSI emulates up to 7 SCSI devices, so you have plenty of space to store all your samples and sequences, and you can load ISOs of sample CDs on your SD card!

To use the emulator, plug it into the SCSI port on the back of the MPC while the machine is off. Then, power up the MPC to boot with the device. You can even hot-swap SD cards when not using the disk!

If the SCSI port on your MPC2000 is stuck on “waiting…” then your SCSI fuse is bad and needs to be replaced. It can also be bypassed by powering the device with a microUSB cable. If you use the ZuluSCSI like this take note - the USB port is relatively fragile, keep a USB cable plugged into it until you fix your MPC and replace your fuse. Don't plug and unplug the USB cable.

The SD card comes in Akai format - just like a sample CD - and is already set up with partitions that contain library disks, sequences, demos, and standard sets from the MPC60, 3000, 2000, and 2000XL. Perfect if you are into retro and lo-fi sounds.

The Zulu can emulate up to 7 Virtual Hard Drives on the MPC up to 900MB each. The limitations of the MPC remain the same, so root directories/partitions are limited to 512 files each. However, you can partition the 900MB drives into 26 A-Z labeled partitions.

If you want to transfer files to and from your computer, I recommend using one large 900MB partition for your data since the A partition is the only partition a computer can access. The drives are in Akai ISO format, and can be mounted on a MAC, or use the app PowerISO to mount the drives on Windows.
