EXTREMELY RARE Early Antique 1880 Dentist's Pocket/Office Record of Patients & Services Performed & Related Costs FOR IDENTIFIED NEW YORK CITY DENTIST !!!

DESCRIPTION: Particularly RARE & EARLY ANTIQUE 1880 patient/service record book.  Specific dates by months and years, ranging from about 1883 through 1887.  Book is COMPLETELY FULL, on every page.  Looks like about 70 pages or so, with notes and entries ON BOTH SIDES OF EACH.  Therefore, about 140 pages of 1880's content !!!  Both in ink and some pencil, but all very legible.

BEST PART IS THAT IT IS IDENTIFIED!!!  DENTIST'S BUSINESS CARD IS CLIPPED TO ONE OF THE PAGES, Dr. George A. Dow, Surgeon Dentist, 254 W. 51st. St., corner of 8th Avenue N.  So, an identified degreed dentist, in the heart of NYC, about the same time that Doc Holiday was doing his dentistry work in the old West !!!

Has many patient names as indicated in the scans. All sorts of procedures are listed, from cleaning (50 cents) to extractions to Amalgon (1.00) to gold fillings (4.00) to German teeth, etc. etc.   Surprising amount of gold work, although it was no where the cost of what it is now  !!!

Scans show the details. In decent condition considering its age, the number of years it was used and the amount of opening/closing and putting in his pocket/taking out, etc.   Both covers are there, although detached.  Pages/binding are in excellent condition.

ABSOLUTELY SUPER SUBJECT MATTER.   YOU ARE NOT LIKELY TO SEE ANOTHER LIKE IT, ESPECIALLY IDENTIFIED AND CONTAINING SO MUCH INFORMATION !!!  It would be a great thing for a dentist's office display, an early dental collection, or for use/display at a dental school.

SIZE/CONDITION: Excellent condition. Card is 3" x 8".
