This is a beautiful metal covered book titled "The Holy Scriptures: A Jewish Bible According to Masoretic Text". It has a total of 1586 pages with texts in both English and Hebrew on each page as well as numerous plates "from the Jewish Family Bible London Edition 1881". There are additional unused pages in the back of the book to record genealogy. This book was printed by “Sinai Publishing, Tel Aviv, Printed in Israel, 1972”. The book measures 8.75" x 6" x 2.5"thick.

The cover proudly displays the stone tablets and crown with teal, white, and red enamel detail as well as 4 teal stones, one in each corner of the gold detailed art on the front cover. The trim around the focal point shows various scenes of Israel and symbols with Hebrew writing beneath each. Like any traditional Hebrew text it is read right to left instead of left to right with the back of the book offering ready to fill pages as shown for family history, marriage, death, births, genealogy, and notes.  None of the pages in the book have been written on, no tears, nor dog-ear marks. Original plastic cover jacket is still attached with aged tape on the inside back cover.

The condition of this book is in superb condition given its age. While it has some signs of aging on the dust jacket and edges of pages, it has very minimal wear. It is a fine vintage Judaic collectible.
