How to Replace a Power Window Motor? - Remove Door Panel
- Gently Remove the Plastic Door Cover
- Locate the Window Mounting Bolts
- Raise the Window Glass up into the Door Frame
- Use Mask Table to Secure the Window Glass in Place
- Locate and Remove the Window Regulator Mounting Bolts
- Disconnect the Motor Wiring Harness Connector
- Remove the Motor and Regulator through Access Port
- Slide the New Motor and Regulator back into Place
- Reconnect the Electrical Connector
- Insert the Window Mounting Bolts
- Install the Plastic Liner and Interior Panel
How do I know if my window regulator is bad? - It takes multiple presses to roll the window up or down.
- Operate the glass lift switch, the lift responds, but the glass does not act.
- Window speed is slower or faster than usual.
- Clicking from the door when the window rolls up or down. There is abnormal noise in the process of glass lifting and falling.
- Halfway up the glass stopped moving
