In 1989, an international team organized by six countries, including Keizo Funatsu, a leading Japanese adventurer, attempted to cross the Antarctic Continent to emphasize the importance of the environment and peace, and they all reached the goal safely in March 1990. This waterproof shell jacket with hood was designed based on the clothing worn by the team members at the time of the Antarctic crossing, and features a GORE-TEX PRODUCTS 2-layer construction with a durable 200 denier recycled nylon outer fabric. Double flap front for improved waterproofness. Underarm ventilation system efficiently releases moisture inside the garment. On the left chest and back are the flags of the countries that participated in the Trans-Antarctic Expedition, and on the left arm is a "TransAntarctica Expedition" silicone badge.
