Most Vintage c6 B-lights have 14-15 volt lamps in them. Plugging a standard light strand into a wall plug with 120 volts can sometimes be damaging to the entire strand of collectible lights with their 50 to 60 year old lamps. 

No plastic socket shell to chip or break. Brass alloy E10 socket glued directly into base so wires can't pull loose from the socket- No clip needed to hold bubble lights upright for testing or display- no more worries of shorter bulbs not making contact with bottom of lighting socket
