Antique Italian painting from the first half of the 17th century. Oil artwork on canvas depicting an allegorical subject, Game of cherubs, of excellent pictorial quality. Painting of beautiful size and proportion adorned with a non-coeval 19th century wooden frame, carved and gilded (gilding resumed in the 20th century). Painting that develops horizontally from the particular subject, in fact the cherubs delight in the game of war with soldiers and prisoner and fake wooden swords abandoned at their feet (see photo). Artwork of great pictorial quality, note how the characters are distributed on different perspective planes of the composition. Furthermore, the creation of the flesh tones and the skilful use of chiaroscuro denote great mastery. Painting attributable to the Neapolitan painter Massimo Stanzione (1585-1656), lacking additional documentation. Painting that has undergone conservative restoration, relining, replacement of the frame and recovery of color in some places (see photo). Overall in good condition. Sight size H 25 x W 31 inches. Antico dipinto italiano della prima metà del XVII secolo. Opera ad olio su tela raffigurante soggetto allegorico, Gioco di putti, di ottima mano pittorica. Quadro di bella misura e proporzione adornato da cornice lignea non coeva del XIX secolo, scolpita e dorata (doratura ripresa nel XX secolo). Dipinto che si sviluppa in orizzontale dal particolare soggetto, infatti i putti si dilettano nel gioco della guerra con soldati e prigioniero e finte spade di legno abbandonate ai loro piedi (vedi foto). Opera di grande qualità pittorica, da notare come i personaggi siano distribuiti su diversi piani prospettici della composizione. Inoltre la realizzazione degli incarnati e il sapiente utilizzo del chiaroscuro denotano una grande maestria. Quadro attribuibile al pittore partenopeo Massimo Stanzione (1585-1656), mancante di documentazione aggiuntiva. Dipinto che ha subito un intervento di restauro conservativo, rintelo, sostituzione del telaio e ripresa del colore in alcuni punti (vedi foto). Nel complesso in buone condizioni. Gemälde von schöner Größe und Proportion, geschmückt mit einem nicht zeitgleichen Holzrahmen aus dem 19. Jahrhundert, geschnitzt und vergoldet (die Vergoldung wurde im 20. Jahrhundert wieder aufgenommen). Malerei, die sich horizontal aus dem jeweiligen Motiv heraus entwickelt, tatsächlich erfreuen sich die Putten am Kriegsspiel mit Soldaten und Gefangenen und gefälschten Holzschwertern, die zu ihren Füßen zurückgelassen werden (siehe Foto). Kunstwerk von großer Bildqualität. Beachten Sie, wie die Charaktere auf verschiedenen perspektivischen Ebenen der Komposition verteilt sind. Darüber hinaus zeugen die Erzeugung der Hauttöne und der geschickte Einsatz von Hell-Dunkel von großer Meisterschaft. Tableau de belle taille et proportion orné d'un cadre en bois non contemporain du 19ème siècle, sculpté et doré (dorure reprise au 20ème siècle). Peinture qui se développe horizontalement à partir du sujet particulier, en effet les chérubins se livrent au jeu de la guerre avec les soldats et les prisonniers et les fausses épées en bois abandonnées à leurs pieds (voir photo). Oeuvre d'une grande qualité picturale, notez la façon dont les personnages sont répartis sur différents plans de perspective de la composition. Par ailleurs, la création des tons chair et l'utilisation savante du clair-obscur dénotent une grande maîtrise.
