This is a rare find indeed. There were a series of Venezuelan coins with the title caciques de Venezuela made in gold. This is an exact likeness of a coin struck in gold that sells for about $750. I have a gold one of another cheif, and even the gold ones are somewhat a mystery. These caciques were important indigenous Native American leaders throughout early Venezuelan history. It weighs 15.08 grams. On the back it says plata 1000. I take that to mean that it is pure silver. Plata is Spanish for silver. Maybe someone else can have more luck identifying this item, and possibly make a profit.
