This is a South African New Republic Stamp.  To be more precise, it is SG 27, the 2d on Granite Paper.  This one is used!  It is cancelled and dated 24 MAY 86, which is a VERY RARE DATE for this stamp.  A neat little find for a New Republic collection, and valued at L300 in the SG Catalog.
