VERY RARE COLORFORMS PEANUTS THEATRE “SNOOPY, YOU’RE A STAR!” TOY PLAY SET 1976 USA BICENTENNIAL

Vintage Colorforms Theatre Activity Set “SNOOPY, YOU’RE A STAR!” features Peanuts characters Charlie Brown, Snoopy and Lucy. This toy was designed to commemorate the USA’s Bicentennial in 1976. To play with clothes and accessories, press down the plastic pieces on the stage and moveable characters. They were made to stick like magic and lift to remove. You can rearrange characters and dress them in costumes such as Cowboy, Sheriff, Cowgirl, Clown, The Statue of Liberty, Uncle Sam, a Wizard, George Washington and more (see photos). However, this set is at least 47 years old and the plastic pieces don’t always stick. A few drops of water on a soft cotton towel applied to the slick topped characters and stage will help pieces adhere. The set is complete except one tiny white accessory. The picture board is 16 inches wide and 9.5 inches tall. The outer box has shelf wear with a small tear on the side of the left top edge, 2 worn corners and top box sides bow out over the box. But the interior stage and sides that open to reveal more Peanuts characters in the audience are straight and square. There is a small tear of plain cardboard on left side when flap is opened. Snoopy is front and center in what was one of the best Peanuts Colorforms sets produced in the 1970s.
