Below are the detailed description of postcards in the lot:

1)   Antique Vintage Original Postcard unused in mint condition of general view of Bellingham, Washington. Printed in the United States in 1910 Edward H Mitchell San Francisco, California #2770 Standard Size 3.5" by 5.5" or 9 by 14 cm, early litho chrome

2)  Antique Vintage Original Postcard unused in mint condition of state normal school BellinghamWashington with fountain in front. Printed in the United States in 1910 by Edward H Mitchell San Francisco, California # 527 Standard Size 3.5" by 5.5” or 9 by 14 cm, early litho chrome

In the February 24, 1893 governor of Washington Joan McGraw approves the letter for the third state school for training teachers of the state, the new normal school of Whatcom. The normal school of Whatcom is opened in Bellingham in 1899. The school will often change its name. The western university of the state of Washington in 1937, the western university of the state of Washington in 1961 and finally in 1977 it will obtain the name that it has today: Western university of Washington università Universität université universidad.

3) Antique Vintage Original Postcard unused in mint condition of state normal school Bellingham, Washington with fountain in front. Printed in the United States in 1910 by Edward H Mitchell San Francisco California  # 527 Standard Size 3.5" by 5.5” On February 24, 1893, Washington Governor John McGraw approves the charter for the state’s third public teacher-training school, the New Whatcom Normal School. Whatcom Normal School opens in Bellingham in 1899. Over the years, the school will change its name many times -- it will become the Western Washington State College of Education in 1937 and the Western Washington State College in 1961. In 1977 it will get the name it has today: Western Washington University.

On the depot: “Bellingham”.  Director of the Northern Pacific Railroad in 1870 – 1874 was Charles B. Wright  add Northern interurban service ended June 1930.

5) Antique Vintage Original Postcard unused in mint condition of Saint Joseph’s Hospital, Bellingham, Washington. Printed in the United States in 1910 by Edward H Mitchell San Francisco California #2768 Standard Size 3.5" by 5.5"

The hospital was constructed in 1901 and had a 53-bed facility built with $21,000 generous support from the community.
