1966 Vox V1141 Beatle Amplifier Head, cover, and foot switch.

     A friend of mine and I bought this just as the V1143 came out, so we added a few upgrades to try to match it.  We added an E-Tuner (the Bass channel volume knob controls the volume).  And we upgraded 4 of the power transistors with larger, more powerful, more blow proof transistors (these transistors and the rest are from the '60s so may need replacing now or later).  We also added a switch to cross connect sound effects between the channels (he was the electrician, but I believe the wiring for this may be broken and needs repair to utilize this unique option).  When the distortion switch is stepped upon, the light comes on but there is minimal distortion; although it could be the foot switch which is bit non-responsive, or it could be the distortion unit (they weren't very good on the Beatles).  One of the "feet" is cracked and a bit wobbly.  All that said, it still sounds like a Beatle, just a little less power because of the aging transistors and I think this is a fair price considering what a little attention could do for this unit.

    

      I am willing to ship it and will pack it well and absorb most of the shipping costs (see shipping), but is is old and heavy and weather sensitive.  So if if does not fare so well in the shipping, I will give you the invoice and you can deal with FedX and any repairs.  I am also willing to drive a bit to meet you if you are local and then I would credit  the shipping charge back to you.  I haven't used this in 14 years and would like to give it a new home where it will be used.
