Jahrhundert, Stahlstich, Stecher: Adrian Schleich (geboren 1812 in München gestorben 1894 ebenda). Signiert unten links " Wilhelm verso. Kaulbach", rechts mit "Adrian Schleich" und mittig mit " J.D. Sauerländer". Die mit "Am Brunnen" betitelte Szene zeigt zwei junge Frauen und einen jungen Mann am Brunnen. Während der Mann mit einer schwungvollen Geste den Pumphebel bedient, fängt die rechte Frau das fließende Wasser mit einem Krug auf. Die zweite Dame hat ihre Röcke gelupft und blickt interressiert auf den Wasserstrahl.

  • Description: Wilhelm von Kaulbach (born 1805 in Arolsen died 1874 in Munich) "Am Brunnen", 19th century, steel engraving, engraver: Adrian Schleich (born 1812 in Munich died 1894 there). Signed lower left " Wilhelm verso. Kaulbach", on the right with "Adrian Schleich" and in the centre with " J.D. Sauerländer". The scene titled "Am Brunnen" shows two young women and a young man at the fountain. While the man operates the pump lever with a sweeping gesture, the woman on the right catches the flowing water with a pitcher. The second lady has lifted her skirts and is gazing with interest at the stream of water.
